    English drivers for SONY Vaio FE 90 bought in Japan

    I bought a Sony Vaio FE 90 in Japan.It has Japanese Vista pre-installed.I want to install English Windows XP ? Will the drivers for same US model work for my model ?

    Logically speaking, I think it will work. I don't see why not it won't. But the thing is that will you be able to find XP drivers off of Sony's website? I can't seem to find any =/. I would try Vista drivers and see how they turn out.

    Yes, I know they should logically work.But SONY names the same model by diff model names like if it is FE 92s here in Japan, the same model is FE890 in US.And I have heard that when you try to install a US-Sony driver, it will throw error saying this driver is not meant for your model no.

    I just wanted to if anyone has done the same thing and succeeded.

    If you get an error like that then try installing Japanese drivers. I once did that on a Japanese Toshiba model with English XP, it worked. I'm also in Japan using English XP / Vista, so far I have tried several devices on my notebook like printers, scanners, WiFi adapters etc, all worked with bundled Japanese drivers. Every time I only installed the driver, didn't install any support applications like Printer monitor software, WiFi managers etc.. Just the driver.
