    Hi.

I have been using Live Mail for decades and i keep getting connection errors to my talktalk uk email server, this has been happening every couple of day`s for years, I blame talktalk, but i would like to try a new client.

    Does anybody have any recommendations?

Recommendations is a long word, though not as bad as this Welsh one "Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch"

    Thanks

    John.

Live Mail, cmon bro, rule of thumb, anything that is made by Micro$h4ft is rubbish, WMP, Live Mail, Windows Movie Maker, etc.

    Use Thunderbird FTW!

Or if you don't mind paying a few bucks, Postbox is also great.

TBH I have used live mail for years and it has served me well to date. When I was using Linux though Thunderbird was a great replacement.

Also before all of W10 I was an IE user exclusively. Now I'm a FF fan. I may look at converting to Thunderbird but first may need to decide on what OS is my daily driver.

I tried Thunderbird before i posted this thread yesterday and i did not like it.

I just tried the free version of "eM Client" , the full version is £29.99 and it seems good, but time will tell.

Thunderbird can be a bit daunting to use at the beginning until you know your way around it.

Adding a signature in Thunderbird which includes non standard formatting, like underlines, bold fonts, size, colored fonts, is a big hassle.......the signature editor has no font customization so you'd have to type your signature in some WYSIWYG editor, then convert it to HTML format then past5e the HTML code in Thunderbird........ I know it's a hassle to use

I've actually been using Outlook and it does everything I need. Imo it's more of a calendar management program with e-mail functions though.

I've been using the built in Windows 8.1 email client and I can't complain. It does a serviceable job.
