Ok, I'm not sure what happened and hopefully someone will explain it to me... I had used the "secret" administrator account by accessing the elevated command prompt and then when I disabled it I logged off and noticed an icon at the bottom left of the log-on screen that said "ease of use." I hit it and checked the "use high contrast colors" box. low and behold, everything went black where it used to be white..like task bars and this site, for example. Everything is fine, I guess, I just didn't expect such a tremendous change...And why were those options located at that screen instead of control panel or something? Is this a resource hog or something? Will my pc continue to run at the same level? Exactly what did I do? Anyone? Thnx

Well, it is also located in Control Panel. I think that's normal. It's just for people with viewing disabilities, so they can see things better to log on and so forth. Not sure there's a way to disable it.

I'm assuming you got it turned back to normal? :p

You don't need to do a restore, just open the control panel, open "Ease of Use" and uncheck high contrast mode. Reboot and you should be good (reboot may or may not be required).

Well the deal breaker is that when I log off to go back to ease of access to disable it..ITS ALREADY UNCHECKED! I heard you can press left alt+left shift+ prnt scrn....that doesnt work either.. nor does it via contrl panel
