    Heres the situation.

OLD HD: 320 gig, with vista, xp and linux partitions.

NEW HD: 128 gig SSD empty (atm).

External HD: has lots of programs installed on it under vista.

I'm going to replace the old one with the new one. On the new one i only want vista. Is it possible to transfer the vista partition to the SSD and not have to reinstall anything and have all the programs from the external drive work as usual?

Thanks for your help, I realise i may need to use some special program to acheive this.
