You may have have gotten frustrated with HP TX2500 drivers and using Vista as the main operating system for the computer as I had. I created this to help with the headaches you may have.
Installing Windows XP with this computer is not hard, but can be a pain. Once you have XP installed, you have to have just the right drivers or it won't work since this computer was designed for Windows Vista.
Many people like me are sick of Vista, so that I why I wanted to put XP on the laptop. If you just use a normal Windows XP install CD, chances are that it will fail with a blue screen of death due to a driver problem with the SATA hard drive. You have to do a thing called slipstreaming, and if you follow the following website word for word, you can install XP on the HP TX2500.

The above website has most of the important drivers, but the graphics driver does not work.
Note on the graphics card. First HP will NOT for some reason give you the correct graphics driver for the ATI Radeon 3200 HD graphics card since they say they only support Vista for the HP TX2500.
I got the proper driver just 2 days ago from ATI, and to save you the hassle, I posted it here where you can download it for free.

Below is a link for downloading Microsoft .NET 3.5. You will need at least Microsoft .NET 2.0 in order to properly install the above graphics driver.

One final note. If you want to be able to use tablet features like then, you have to have windows xp tablet edition. Although, any Windows XP version will install if you follow the directions from the first website posted here.

I'm having trouble with the graphics driver as well. Right after I install it, the screen turns black and it looks like some kind of power management issue. I can try to force the brightness up and get it just barely below usable.
Where can I download the driver? The MegaUpload link seems to have failed. Please let me know - this one is really having me pull my hairs out.
If you could also let me have the monitor driver, that'd be great.
