Hello, I just re-installed Windows 7 onto a new hard drive (old hard drive died), on a Gateway NV55C. Everything is fine, except I can't find one driver, as there is one yellow exclamation point in Device Manager. The "Other Device" is identified as a PCI Simple Communications Controller. I tried chatting with the Gateway people, but they require payment, as the laptop is out of warranty. I installed Windows 7 from a Microsoft disk, and do not have access to a Gateway Recovery disk. Does anybody know where I can find a driver for this device, or even know what the device is? Thanks! smackedass

Right-click PCI Simple Communications Controller, go to Properties, under Details-> Hardware Ids, pick the longest one and tell me what it is (e.g. PCI\VEN_1180&DEV_E230&SUBSYS_905A104D&REV_00) or you can try Google search it (e.g. VEN_1180&DEV_E230).

It would seem to be the "Intel iAMT Driver" listed on this page.
