Does anyone have/know a program that encrypts a folder, and to unlock it, it requires a pw? I used to have this program years ago, and I loved it. I don't remember what it's called though. I recall the icon being green...I doubt that helps, lol. I know that there are other programs like this, but the ones I've tried are too elaborate. I just want a simple one that lets u browse the location what you want to lock, put a pw on it, and to open it back up, needs a pw.

Put it on a compressed ZIP/RAR and put a password on it. (no programs needed)

or make a folder in a folder, and make it hidden, then you type the folder path in the address bar, no program needed either.

Please put some REAL info in the titles of your new threads. "Wondering...", "OMFG", "Few Questions" and "Does anyone know.." don't tell anyone what the thread is about. There is enough message traffic here that many folks are going to skip right by these threads and never read them. Some of these folks might have been able to answer your question if they had some clue what it was from the thread title.

These are elaborate as well. The one I used to have was simple, may not have been the safest, but it got the job done. I right clicked w/e app/folder I wanted, and it came with a drop down menu and all i do is "encrypt" it. To decrypt it, it needed your pw. I'm not protecting precious files or anything, just putting games and movies in there so my little cousin can't play them when I'm not home. He's grounded.
