So I was getting drivers for my laptop, since I'm going re-format and upgrade to 64-bit.
Anyway, I got all the drivers from Acer's site, and they had an Intel Chipset Driver.
After getting all the drivers on the site, I went into device manager and saw Intel SATA ACHI driver.
I'm wondering where I can get this driver, also I read somewhere that it is included in the chipset driver.
Some help on whether I need it and where I can get it
Also, my wireless card is listed as Intel WiFi Link 5100 AGN, but the driver on the acer site was called Intel Shirley Peak.
Will this work, and if not where can I get it from?
Many thanks

w7 has the wifi driver already and you don't really need the Intel AHCI driver. In any case, it should come with the chipset driver if you really want it.

My bad
Im not upgrading to W7, still vista just 64-bit
Wondering about the wifi driver, but thanks for the info on the AHCI driver -
You can get the latest driver here http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&ProdId=2101&DwnldID=17884&lang=eng
Download the zip file, update the Intel SATA AHCI driver from the device manager.
Do I need a SATA AHCI driver?
