    Hi All

New to these forums and was hoping for a suggestion. I have searched the free software and tried several forums searches but am not finding what I was looking for (this means don't whap me if the answer is obvious, I did search first :D ).

I want to wipe the unused disk space of an old laptop before selling. I have used Active@ Kill Disk but was looking for a better solution that is hopefully free. I am currently cleaning an XP system but was looking for XP/Vista if possible. I have run ccleaner but realize that the underlying file can still be recovered  .

    ANy opinions welcome

The only solution you're going to have is to wipe the entire drive with a tool like Darik's Boot and Nuke as Mike suggested, then re-install Windows. What you are trying to do is inefficient and risky.
