So does anyone know how to disable the Windows 10 Home Product Key so that I can install Windows 10 Pro on a Gigabyte P55Wv6 laptop? I found a Advance option in "Trusted Computing" where I disabled "Security Device Support" is this what will disable the Window 10 Home Product Key from installing when I install a Windows 10 Pro version? I already tried to contact Gigabyte for more support but they are worthless in answering a simple question since I own the laptop and want to install a higher Windows 10 version.

You should be able to use this method to create USB installation media that will allow you to select which version of Windows you want.

Tried that already the UEFI Product Key overrides it. I know I look and it said Windows 10 Home. The security is blocking any other Product Key other then what it comes with.

@StormJumper you can install Home, upgrade Home to Pro via generic upgrade key, then feed it your Pro key.

Doesn't that mean you go to MS page and buy the Product Key? I already have it what I need to know is disable the Home UEFI product Key so I can use the Pro Product Key.

AFAIK, Windows Home shipped by OEMs are Single Language editions and are different from Retail editions of Home and Pro. When you install Generic/Retail Windows Home or Pro you bought from Amazon or other online sites the embedded key in the board doesn't work in the first place.

I started to figure that out so now in order to have my own Product Key that laptop is going to be preloaded Pro Windows 10 or no UEFI imbedded Product Key. What a drag....
