    Hello everyone,

I'm having problems launching a game in a brand new Windows 8 computer. Support from the game's developer told me, based on the crash log, that it could be a DirectX9 issue. And so I have a few questions about DirectX:

    1) If a computer already has DirectX11, does that mean it has the preceding versions (9 and 10)?
    2) How do I reinstall DirectX9? Do I merely install on top of the existing DirectX9 install or do I need to uninstall it first? If uninstalling first, will there be a "clean install" option like in graphics drivers installs or should I use a 3rd party app like CCleaner to do the most comprehensive uninstall possible?
    3) Which is the DirectX9 version I should be using for Windows 8?: Search results - Microsoft Download Center

    Thank you for your help.
