    After you have installed all your drivers, and check device manager and see 1 one more unknown devices... How do you find out what hardware it is so you can track down a driver for it??? I hate when this happens.

    Post the Hardware ID of the reported unknown device and I'll tell you what it is.

    Is this for a hp notebook? Did you install the quick launch drivers? Most of the unknown drivers for a hp notebook are usually the quick launch's drivers

    Exactly. A quick google on hpq0006 shows it's the "Quick Launch" buttons. They're probably the capacitive ones that require software drivers, like the touch and slide volume bar and media buttons.

    Yep, it's an hp dv8000 and installing the quick launch drivers worked.
