I was wondering what settings I need for my CPU and mother board for the I9300 for it to monitor the temps?

Something like maybe Centrino Hardware Control. Are you wondering to find something to monitor its temp or what the temps should be at?

I loaded this program last night, and found that I think on the second tab? there is a box you can check "Dell Support" and it includes support for the Dell Notebooks. Try checking that box. I don't know much else about speedfan.

    First off

You need to download and install i8kfangui.
Then you just put the i9kfangui.exe file in the same directory as i8kfangui.

    If you already did that

    Try this

Go into Device Manager and follow this

    1. Open the 'View' drop down menu and click on 'Show hidden devices'
    2. In the device list open 'Non-PNP-devices'
    3. Search for the fanio driver in the list and open its properties
    4. On the 'Driver' tab, set the start type to 'System'
    5. Click 'OK' and reboot
