I accidentally deleted yahoo search protection in the add/move remove programme. I researched a bit on the net and it says that there's nothing special about it and they even recommend to remove it since it's just a waste of memory and there are other better search engines out there, like: google, nibbo, and dogpile. Will I be experiencing some problems or complications in using yahoo search engine since I deleted its yahoo search protectoin?

    Thanks in advance :)

Yawn! Let Yahoo stay dead. It is a waste of bytes anyway.

Any ad ons like that are a waste of memory - all the toolbars you get always slow down the startup times od IE8 pretty badly...

Amen.. I cannot stand 3rd party toolbars. I know people who are toolbar junkies, they install the Yahoo, Google, etc.. toolbars, all on the same PC. Then they wonder why things don't work "like they used to".

-dogpile is one of the best search engines apart from google. As a search engine, dogpile searches on all the four chiefly-used search engines, namely: google, yahoo, ask, and bing. You might want to try it though: www.dogpile.com :)

Thanks for your replies. Now, I can rest my anxiety about accidentally deleting yahoo search protection in add/remove programmes. Thanks to everyone who replied in this thread :)
