I have an ASUS laptop that came with Vista Home Premium installed in just one partition (C :).

The question is: Can i format the entire drive creating two or more partitions WITHOUT installing those useless softwares that came from factory (anti-virus, asus miscellaneous softwares and etc.)?

If not, can i take a Vista Home Premium DVD and use my original key to install it?

thx, and sorry for my bad english (long time without pratice).

Instal from recovery disc without junk - difficult to say, and manufacturer, sometimes even model specific.

So you need to ask this in the Asus forum - also make sure your laptop manufacturer hasn't got any propritary tricks ups his sleeve (yes, Sony, why are your Fn buttons etc. "locked" to Sony tools?)

Regarding the OEM disc - that should work.

Also, make sure you dowload all you need from the manufacturers website before you begin :)
