    So, I Installed windows 10...I manage to reinstall some of the drivers to be compatible. Everything is fine except for one: Sound Blaster Cinema.

    I still get the sounds from the Realtek HD Audio Driver, but the sound blaster software doesn't seem to work so I don't really get that good audio like I used to. Is there a Creative Sound Blaster Cinema compatible for Windows 10? I cannot seem to find it.

    I am using a Barebones Gaming Laptop (Identical to the MSI GT70 model)

    Sound Blaster X-Fi MB3 is compatible with Windows 10. Haven't had experience with the Cinema version.

    Same here, on a MSI GE60. I've tried several Realtek drivers and two different versions of Soundblaster Cinema to no avail.

    You need to wait for your OEM to provide a Windows 10 Realtek driver that contains the license for the Sound Blaster software

    I just hope they do, MSI switched to some other audio enhancer, and stopped updating SoundBlaster.

    What specific features are you looking for? Virtual surround? Bass boost? EQ? "Enhancements"?

    Look into X-Fi MB3 and Razer Surround. X-Fi is $30, Razer Surround Pro is $20. Razer Surround also has a free version which only has virtual surround.

    Alexpre, I looked into this problem and this is what I found out.

    So, SoundBlaster Cinema (version 1.2.0.0) on MSI GE 7O 20E @ Windows 10 - (Innovated from Windows 7) on Audio drivers - Realtek High Definition Audio Driver 6.0.1.6914 (Win7 x64) works WITHOUT ANY ISSUES. ( Well in case you made the SoundBlaster Cinema work in Win 7).

    The troubles cames in when I made clean install of Windows 10.

    The application was giving the No audio Detected error / were crashing while you tried to enter the interface (not responding) or it just froze entirely.

    But! I noticed after trying varuious drivers and versions of SoundBlaster Cinema, on version 1.5.0.0 (Win8.1 x64 version I assume) on the Realtek High Definition Audio Driver 6.0.1.6914 drivers the application DOES enhance audio even the interface crashes (Not responding). (The surround enhance were bleeding my ears since Im using headphones.)

    In this case there is workaround how to edit the settings and get your lovely sound you want. BE AWARE this wont work if the SoundBlaster Cinema returns with error (Audio device not detected), thats another problem to fix.

    So in case the interface is crashing there is a file which you can edit and modify the values for your need.
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Creative\Sound Blaster Cinema\Sound Blaster Cinema\Profile - Music.xml
    [IMG]

    Then you need to open Notepad as Administrator, click on file and open.
    Copy paste the C:\Program Files (x86)\Creative\Sound Blaster Cinema\Sound Blaster Cinema\Profile
    and dont forget to select view all files
    [IMG]

    and open music.xml. You will see this:

    [IMG]
    So! Now you can edit those lines:

    <settings>
    <thx_surround enable="false" level="0.40" />
    <thx_crystalizer enable="true" level="0.50" />
    <thx_bass enable="true" level="30" cross_freq="80" />
    <thx_svm enable="true" level="1" mode="1" />
    <thx_dlgplus enable="false" level="0.5" />
    </settings>

    First line: is for Surround where enable= "false" (disables surround) , "true" (enables surround)
    level="X" The number is the scale how intense the surrond will be.
    Second line: Crystalizer Same thing as first.
    Third line: Bass / Crossover Frequency Same thing as first but the cross_freq: is the number what you could change in top left corner on the little triangle, settings, and cross over frequency, if Soundblaster functions normally this number is updated by switching from headphones to speakers etc, in this case where Interface is crashing you need to set this manually. I believe 30 should be for Headphones but Im not very sure about it. You gotta figure this one.
    Fourth line: Smart Volume Same thing as frist but the mode="1" (1-Loud., 0 and 2 are possibly Night / Normal), I would be careful with the numbers there, it can get very loud..
    Fifth Line: Dialog Plus.

    When you are done with your editing, just save the file.

    The settings will be implemented when you will exit SoundBlaster Cinema, BUT you gotta make sure the application is closed. (Check TaskManager)

    If you wanna make sure its really closed you can press window key, search for cmd and run it as ADMIN (like this)
    [IMG]

    Then type in TASKKILL /F /IM SBCinema.exe and press enter and the task should be removed.

    Then relaunch the SoundBlaster Cinema again and it will load the settings in, just don click on the tray icon, it will make the program crash. We dont need that.

    Also I made the interface work again (somehow) here is screenshot of the app working on Windows 10. I have to investigate how the hell it is working (because it was just crashing) but when I came back from shopping it was working on clean install of Windows 10 (No Innovations)

    I hope it will work for you, if you have any questions feel free to ask!
