Anyone see if I have any crapware left over? I've taken out anything that was in my Vostro, and I think I've gotten most of them.

    Anyone take a quick check?

    I don't think there's anything left :p

DivX stuff (there are better codecs and the player just sucks), the modem crap, norton, apple updater, maybe dell datasafe online and network assistant, possibly the creative stuff, futuremark measurement service client (unless this is 3Dmark), Mediadirect.

Everything DivX minus the Codec can go.
Creative disk manager? Never heard of that.
Creative system information. When you install sound items, driver only.
    Dell datasafe.
    Dell network assistant.
Dell touchpad. Use synaptics drivers for this, if anything at all.
Dell wireless WLAN card utility, let Windows handle everything wireless.
    Digital line detect.
Mediadirect (unless you actually use that).
    Modem diog tool.
    Net waiting.

From there you have some other stuff i've never heard of, or can't imagine you needing, but they look like things you've purposely installed.

I'd like to keep Media Direct, Creative Disk Manager/System info is my programs.

But yeah thanks guys, you've weeded out the last few things I wanted to go :)

Norton was under Symantec Antivirus. I don't remember if that was the last good version or not. Buy a decent AV instead, like Nod32

If it's named Dell, it doesn't belong on the computer ;)

'tis not Norton, it's not even made by Symantec IIRC.

It's Enterprise edition so yeah. Not at all bloated. And I even hear Norton is getting better these days.

Hardly, it's easier to find if someone is stealing your internet using the Dell Network wizard ;)

You might also want to nuke Microsoft Works and get OpenOffice, should you need a office suite.
I also see you have gaim and Pidgin: I have none, but should't one of them be enough? (I am asking this for myself :) )

Pidgin is buggy at the moment. Does not allow you to drag and drop buddy groups. So I'm using Gaim 2.0 Beta 6

    And I have office 2007.

I have WEP so that my DS works + only allowing people with the MAC addresses provided
