I noticed today that some of the button graphics in Word and Excel (likely all Office apps, but I haven't checked each one) are really low res for some reason, and I was wondering if this was consistent for the app, of if it had something to do with my installation.

I've attached a screenshot showing the problem. As you can see all other text and ribbon buttons look fine. It's just the navigation buttons in the template selection dialog (at least that's the only place I've found it). I'm guessing they just screwed up and left low-res images in place, but can anyone else confirm? This is Office 2007 Enterprise on Windows 7 Ultimate x64, btw.

What res are you running at? I'm at 1440 x 900 and the back and forward buttons do look just a little low res. I'm guessing your running at a higher resolution and the issue is more pronounced.

Appears to be a MS bug.

do you have a non-standard font scaling enabled to be able to read better at that res? if so, that's a typical effect of it. other than that, i dunno.
