Could do more than 1 factory install and a clean installation damage laptop within 2 months?

I have a fairly new laptop and I was wondering if doing factory restore (3) within 2 months, most recent one was few days(Makes it the 3rd factory restore) ago and I noticed there was quite a lot of bloatware so now I plan to do a clean installation but I'm worried if this could damage the laptop.

It does cause alot of writes to the storage media. Unless you have a small SSD as the primary drive though this should be a non issue. Even with a smaller SSD they usually are good for 100's of thousands of writes so it should still be a non issue.............

Sheesh, man, stop peeing your pants! I looked at a few of your posts, and all you ever seem to do is worry about something or other damaging your laptop. The answer is NO, none of this is going to harm your laptop in any way. The thing is meant to be used, and all the things you mentioned fall in the realm of perfectly normal usage. Sure, if you were doing a factory restore once a day for a year or so, then we might start to worry, but as long as you are using your laptop at least in a somewhat normal way, nothing is going to damage it.

On the other hand, pouring your cup of coffee into the laptop just once might have negative consequences...

You will need to do a lot more to your laptop than write a few gigs to the hard drive to cause any problems. You are fine even if you reinstall the OS every day.

Software's not going to damage your computer, and it hasn't been an issue in years. Physical abuse, on the other hand...

    You're fine OP.

    Simple answer: no.

Detailed answer: any amount of reading and writing puts wear and tear on the drive, but the frequency you outlined thus far is nothing to be concerned about, even for a HDD. SSDs can take more of it, as they do not have anything mechanical about them that will get tired over time. Even so, your hard drive will be fine - installing Windows or doing factory recoveries in themselves will not damage your disk drive.

Just to plug in a car analog, I'd imagine that installing an OS twice would be similar to going to the grocery store to shop, come home, and then remember that you forgot to pick up eggs or something while at the store, so you drive back to pick that up. It doesn't damage your car much at all (barring car accidents, etc), but it'll put wear and tear on your engine/frame/tires/whatever (hard drive on the computer) that'll *possibly* be a problem in the long run. However, this is such a small issue that, by the time your drive starts having issues just from reads, you'll already be looking at buying a new laptop anyway (or another laptop after buying that laptop).
