How can you copy files from a vista desktop to a vista notebook via the ethernet connection?

I have a Netcomm NBW9 ( http://www.netcomm.com.au/VoIP/NB9W_new.php) wireless modem and router and voip all in one. Both the laptop and desktop are connected via ethernet cable as well.

Is there a way to copy files from one computer to another without a transfer cable? And how do you do it via ethernet connection?

You could just create a share folder and copy to that folder. That's simple. However, make sure that you did change the network to private network on both machine too.
