    Hey

Just put objectdock on and I love it, removed all icons from my desktop and it looks amazing.

Is there any other cool stuff you can do which is free, Like changing colour of the task bar, or any other suggestions that will lighten up my desktop or computer.

    Thanks guys

Is Object Dock basically the same as Dell Dock?

I think Dell Dock is more similar to the rocketdock thing....... at least the way it looks... I may be wrong since I haven't tried RD.. but have seen screenshot of RD and I have tried DD.. finally decided to stick with OD.

To the OP, apart from the other suggestions above which are really nice stuff, you may want to check out deviantart or interfacelift (I love interfacelift) for some wonderful desktop wall papers.. And I don't know if you meant *all* cool things for your computer, and in case you did, I would recommend you drop by (in case you didn't till now) the windows free s/w thread, and get in some nice essentials like CCleaner, RevoUninstaller, temp monitoring tools as well as GPUz And CPUz.. easycleaner.. etc., because even these *lighten* up your comp' in many ways :) Cheers.

I read somewhere that Dell licensed ObjectDock from StarDock and modified it to suit them.

UPDATE: Based on these two reviews, I would say not. Although Dell may have got the starting code somewhere, this appears to be less featured that either RD or OD, albeit with a prettier user interface into the customizations.

Digression from OP topic, but ...

RocketDock on top, ObjectDock on bottom. Running simultaneously. Both using same icons and same skin.

FWIW, I tried both and run RocketDock.

... end of digression from OP topic.

Once again I did not no there was a Delldock?

Maybe should have tried that first, oh well have had no problems with object dock and very fast.

Looked at the fix to change your task bar but kinda went over my head with deleting programs and so on.

Will just keep looking and thanks again guys for your help.

There's some differences. As there should be. Different folks like different things after all. BTW, there's skins and icons galore out there. Most stuff runs on either, so check out both product's websites.

Just yesterday I downloaded, installed, and configured NetMeter to try out and see if I can get a good feel for how much bandwidth I consume over a few months.

IMO Dell Dock has fewer features than the other two, but it's easier to use in some ways -- there's a nicer UI for changing some of the settings.

And yes, Dell Dock is made by Stardock, the company that makes ObjectDock.

But... I recommend either RocketDock or ObjectDock because they each have more features and customization options.
