I am having trouble playing .asf and .wmv extensions in Windows Media Player 11. I know VLC player or some other player might play these but I'd like to know if there are codecs which I can download that will be able to play these types of extensions in WMP11. I've already downloaded codecs from DivX's site which solved the issue of not seeing video.

    Thanks in advance.

.asf may not work but .wmv SHOULD work in WMP 11...considering that's what it was made for.

    Not sure why it's not.

Thanks to all...I'm fine with VLC Player but I'd rather use just one player if it can play with all the codecs.
