I just reinstalled XP 'cause something went wrong the last time, and I ended up with my system partition on D:, and I want it on C:.

Anyway... Now when I choose Start-->close computer, I get a different dialogbox than usual? It's one with a dropdown-list box, and not the one I'm used to. I want the one with three buttons!

How can I change this? It's never happened before?

Also I now have to log in using an old Win 2000 style dialog-box?

    Thanks guys.

Go to your ontrol Panel->User accounts->Change the way users log on/off->Make sure "Use Welcome screen" entry is checked. Thats should do change the shutdown to the 3 button method.

Tried it, but couldn't because a program "changed the way users log on and off". Seems that Intel PROset wireless thing-a-ma-bob is the culprit. I'm gonna go ahead and uninstall it (I use windows for my settings anyway).

    Thanks for the help
