    Hi...

I'm thinking of upgrading my Windows Vista Business to Windows 7 Professional. Can I do a clean install with the Windows 7 Upgrade disc if my Vista is OEM (I do have the Vista install disc).

Also, will I be able to go from 32-bit to 64-bit ?

    Cheers

If you want to go from 32 to 64bits, you have to boot your computer with the Windows 7 DVD and do a clean install. You are not supposed to be able to activate Windows with an upgrade key but there are many workarounds available :)

What if you were already 64-bit? Would you still need to make a boot disc? Or can you just use the upgrade disc?

I moved from Vista 32-bit to Windows 7 64-bit using the upgrade DVD with no activation issue.

Make a boot disk? Windows disk are already bootable. Just insert them and hit any key when asked to press any key to boot from your optical drive.

It worked for me as well, I bought the family pack which is the upgrade version and was going to use the registry method outlined here: http://www.winsupersite.com/win7/clean_install_upgrade_media.asp

But it ended up activating without having to do that.
