Did you check msconfig and uncheck it?
win+r, type "msconfig" and then enter, startup tab, then uncheck WMC.

I tried that earlier and it wasn't on the list.

But, I just checked again and now it was. Now, I have that disabled, along with the Services disabled, and the registry key added, and it is still opening and running.

    I just don't get it.

Are you talking about how it runs on startup and stays there? You can't exit the program via Task Manager?
Check "Task Scheduler" maybe you have it set up to run WMC as a task.

Also, restart your pc after you unchecked it form msconfig.

Do you want to disable it so that it can't be run at all? Why would you want to do that? Just disable the services and it won't take up memory or cpu resources.

No, what I did, has stopped it from starting on startup. But, I can still start it manually.

Yeah, I wanted to disable it so it couldn't run it all. Because, I don't want it taking up memory.

But, if just having the services disabled does the trick, then I'm satisfied.

Thanks, you two for your help.

It's not going to be using memory if its not running...

Yeah, because it is a Microsoft product though, I wanted to be sure. I know they can be sneaky with all their processes sucking up memory.

You have nothing to worry about. It won't be using up memory as long as its not running.
