On my XP computer, I can't seem to click my account during the login screen (although the keyboard works fine). In addition to that, dragging and dropping as well as clicking in certain program does work (I think mostly Java apps.)

Switched mouses and still a problem, updated mouse driver and no luck.

    Any insights?

Change the mouse from the current port, some USB ports break.

see of you can find an old PS2 mouse...they need no divers...if you don't have a PS2 port...you can buy a logitech USB corded notebook mouse cheap...usually less than $10...they are plug and play...maybe you clould do some troubleshooting with one of these...have you tried to uninstall the drivers for your mouse and then reinstall them...or in mouse properties is there a radio button to restore to default...

I've tried multiple USB ports, but I'll look around again. I'm using a gaming mouse (Logitech G5) so I don't want to use another ^^

System restore for some reason won't restore. Mouse still doesn't work no matter what I do, switched USB mouses, switched ports, etc.
