I am running Vista Home Premium SP1 with no problems. I recently noticed that my Documents folder is hidden. When I right clicked on the folder and selected Properties, under the General tab, the "Hidden" checkbox is grayed out and will not allow me to uncheck it to make the folder not hidden anymore. I have tried to fix this using the "attrib -H" command from the Command prompt (Run as Administrator) with no success. I have also made sure that I have "Full Control" permission and "Ownership" of this folder in the Security tab of Properties. Nothing seems to work. Any thoughts on how I might fix my problem? I have no problem making changes to the Registry, I just don't know where to go in the Registry to fix this problem.

I have searched this forum, as well as Microsoft's forums and Knowledge Base with no success. Thanks in advance for any ideas that will help!

After playing around with this some more, I discovered that my Documents folder had somehow been changed to a systems file. When I used the command "attrib -s -h" it removed the systems classification AND also removed the hidden status, so it is no longer a hidden folder.

    Problem solved!
