Ok, everytime I want to check my e-mail with Outlook Express, AIM starts.

Under Options there is an option for AIM to start when Outlook Express is started. I unchecked it, rebooted and AIM STILL starts up with it.

What can I do? I want to keep AIM since I do use it, rarely, but I do. I just want to check my e-mail without having to close AIM everytime.

As an alternative to OE, you could use Mozilla Thunderbird...I know that's not exactly the fix to your problem (well, it probably will fix the problem...), but I think you'll find that T-Bird is superior in every way to OE...

Another alternate solution is to ditch AIM and use GAIM or Trillian.
