    Hey there

I've got the chance of upgrading to Ultimate but I'm wondering if my laptop will be able to handle it.

It'll be the 32 bit x86 version of Ultimate and my laptop is an Acer 9302 with a 2.2ghz AMD Turion 64 cpu and an Nvidia Geforce Go 6100 GPU, the RAM is currently at 2gb but I'm chucking and extra 2gb in anyway shortly.

So please could someone advise me as to whether or not I'll be able to use Ultimate in all it's glory...

While I'm asking - because my laptop has an AMD Turion 64 does that mean I could run the 64bit version of Vista?

Thanks in advance for any help/advice :)

Yes, you'll be able to run ultimate. Also, your processor is 64-bit so you'll be able to run that of Vista.

remember your laptop wont use all of the 4gb if you put it in. i find that 2gbs is fine for vista.

Cool, I didn't actually realise until a short while ago I've actually got a 64bit cpu doh!

Thanks. As I understand it though I'll get 3gb out of the RAM upgrade I'm doing - I've actually got 2x 2gb board and 2x 1gb boards so I could just put 3gb in, seeing as my system only shows 1.75gb actual RAM available I thought I'd upgrade and while I'm at it upgrade to Ultimate as well.

    Thanks for the info :)
