I could not get into CPUgenie site in this 4 days. All of the download sites like softpedia redirect to the main site which is not accessible. Anyone has a mirror link?

Why? Some old games are now run even with minimum frequency. Or for example I want to run my application that with maximum frequency takes 5 hours. If I run it with minimum freq then it takes for example 10 hours. I don't care. because I leave it all night and next day see the results. Being 10 hours in 60 degree is better that being 5 hours in 80 degree.

Get a Thinkpad. They come with the software you're talking about that not only automatically throttles speed but also adjusts brightness, fan speed, timers, etc. It also lets you change profiles quickly.

Here's a software scallingtool. It's free. It's called power profile which is built in your OS. select max battery and you downclock your cpu. Minimal power management and max performance gives you standard cpu speed.Laptop mode gives you a balance of both.
