Hello folks. I just wanted to know what were your opinions on each. I have used CCleaner before but I had an accident with it and can no longer use iTunes. IObit looks a bit more user friendly so I might switch if it seems like a better cleaner.

    Your thoughts?

To me CCleaner is quite "safe" to use compared to Iobit Advanced System Security.. hmm..

I use to have Tuneup what after a couple of months it seems more bloatware than anything.

So I went back to CCleaner. It´s free and it´s fast. The only "flaw" is the GUI (ugly) but it really works so I´m sticking with it.

I have Advanced System Care Pro. I am probably going to Switch to IOBit 360 Malware Security. Right now im using Malwarebytes Anti-Malware (whatever its called). I like ASC alot it does exactly what you tell it to. It has a nice GUI and you can schedule easy tasks. I use mainly all IOBit products. SmartDefrag, SmartRAM, Disk Cleaner, etc...its a very nifty program. I recommend it.

Never used Iobit. However I find CCleaner updated regularly used in conjunction with AVG Anti-virus(not free version) keeps my computer clean and safe.

i use CCleaner. and do backup before doing the cleanup.

i put all of the backup under my document folder, titled; CCleaner Registry Backup.

that way if accident happens you can always undo them.

    --------------

no matter what software you're using there is a chance that it might screw up a bit. although i never had any problem with CCleaner.

nowadays i rarely run the CCleaner program anyway. you don't really need to run registry clean unless you do large system changes eg. add/remove multiple application in one day. even then you generally don't really need to, but for the more technically literate, might want to have their system run at the most optimum level possible.

only time i really feel the itch to do registry clean is after uninstalation of security software. (changing from one security suite brand to another)

Thanks for the responses folks. I think I will give A.S.S a try on my new lappy the interface looks so much easier to use. Nothing against CCleaner though.

I've been using CCleaner for a long time now (1.5+ years) and I totally stand by it, it has such nice features like doubling as an easy uninstaller for sometimes, often otherwise difficult to remove programs. I'll have to look into A.S.S too to check out this simpler interface you're speaking of :p

I always recommended CCleaner and up to this moment I still will.

I regularly clean the temporary/ internet files + registry and had zero problems so far. Since 2 years, I had virtually zero problems. Just like people above.
I can't compare it with Iobit though.

I've used both...i've used Ccleaner the most and recommend it as well. easy to use, nice interface, regular updating...(never had any problems. I've never had problems with Iobit 360 either though) ..Ccleaner seems to be lighter on the resources also..(if that matters)

I've also used both, ccleaner works great I've yet to have any problems with it. I definitely reccomend. Iobit advanced system care is also great.

However I've had problems with iobit 360 security; it deleted some important files that required me to do a system restore (but that was when it was first released). I'm hesitant to try it again.

Anyways, as stated above ccleaner is way lighter on resources compared to the other two.

I think Anti-malware is the best malware protection you can get. I use it at home and we use it at my work. I use CCleaner and love it. I have learned to use more then virus protection so i use Anti-malware for malware and Anti-spyware and Norton 360 for viruses.

Your registry virtually never needs to be cleaned, only in specific cases. I do it if I feel that I may have a virus or after I use trial software and I want to use it again.

    CCleaner.
