For some reason CCleaner isn't cleaning my Chrome and Firefox cookies and cache and...

Now, it says it has cleaned them and it even shows it has deleted a lot of mbs, but I open them up and they are just like they were. I have to use the delete personal data options in the browsers themselves to clear everything.

I've tried uninstalling and re-installing CCleaner and that hasn't helped. Anyone suffering from this? I'm using the latest version of cc btw.

Do you have firefox and chrome installed in the default locations?

Are you sure you're hitting "clean" and not just analyze?

Are your browsers open when you clean?

Open CCleaner and check under the "Applications" tab (next to Windows) and make sure you have the proper items checked.

Yes, they are in their default locations.
    Yup, I sure am. :p
    Nope.
    Ya, everything is checked.

I am pretty good with computers, not exactly a novice. :p

Have you tried asking at the piriform forums? This isn't exactly a support forum for them.......

try a reinstall, and check for updates.

If you update you might want to fully uninstall previous version, and then apply new one, just in case...

For some reason CCleaner likes to delete a couple of my cookies even when I just set it to cleanup temp files.
