It's legit. Newegg is one of the best online e-tailers actually probably the best. What's you'll get is the OEM disc inside a sleeve jacket allong with the activation key in a plastic wrapper.

edit: I purchased an OEM copy of Vista Home Basic from Newegg and it came in a DVD case. So that's probably what you'll get as well unless Microsoft has changed their packaging. ;)

As Rodknee said, Newegg is the best. I order from them all the time, never had a problem.

Yeah I trust them. I was really asking because since this is a systems builder OS if I bought something like the OCZ DIY notebook and this OEM license everything will be legit. Will the software actually come with the sticker to stick on the bottom of the new machine or is it not movable?

I'm looking at my Vista OEM I bought from them and the answer is yes. The sticker is on the back of the DVD case and you can peel it off if you like and apply it to the machine. Actually it's required. :)

The box comes in a paper sleeve on which is written "Microsoft". breaking the seals and opening the sleeve, you get the box in which is found the beautiful windows vista dvd. On the back of the dvd box, there the serial key. Peel off the sticker and stick it on your laptop. It's your proof of purchase of windows vista.

The OEM version simply lacks tech support. That's all, and not always comes in the big colorful case.

Yes normally who ever sells the oem license has to support it and not microsoft.

It's also tied to the machine that was first activated. So if you decide later to move it to another system it will be very difficult as Microsoft reserves that option for the retail versions. I'm not saying it's impossible but it will take some effort to get MS to activate it on another system. ;)
