This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Hmm, so I guess buying Windows Media Edition when I custom build my desktop in about a month would be worth the extra $20 over Window's Home Edition, for the free upgrade and all.

    Newegg sent me a e-mail saying ....if you buy XP SP2b then they will throw in Vista RC1 for free.

    RC1 would be a rip-off ..... RC2 would probally be a sweet deal for some at least until next May when it expires.

    Everybody will be offering Upgrade Express soon.
