    HERE
is a thread I made a while back on Brighthand about some alternatives to Windows Aero 3D and has some detail to Bumptop.

EDIT: Actually I'll just post what I had posted in my thread at Brighthand.

I think this is a neat tool to have. I'm just curious how much system resources would it take for this to run. It might not be worth it if it slows your computer down quite a bit.

I think this is one step before we get finger sensors and scrap the mouse, touchpad, and kb to move around the desktop.

The keyboard is a very vital thing, before we get rid of the keyboard we might get touch keypads instead. Also, thanks for the heads up on the software.

I guess you are right, the KB stay in for the moment, especially if you are writting e-mails or documents.

even so, i rather have kb and mouse...with touchpad and what not, that makes you be close to the monitor or screen. i like to lay back in my chair and put kb on my lap and type...

Bumptop looks like an interesting concept but it seems like it would be difficult to organize many files in a systematic way with that method and retrieve them later.

It seems to me that it would fit well with Microsofts table top computer - not necessarily the most efficient way of doing some common tasks but is visually stimulating.
