Have used all 3 of the above browsers in W8.1, with no issues.

No issues here, IE11, FF and Opera 12 and whatever the latest version of Opera running on Google's Blink engine is.

Opera 12 feels like a bit of a hog on my atom slate, but it felt like that in 8.0 anyways.

No issues with IE11 here. I don't routinely use Chrome or Firefox, so I can't comment on them.

I'm using all three and no issues and that's running W8.1 x64 on a 2009 Toshiba Satellite P7350 and 4GB of ram.

    What are your specs?

IE11 once I cleared the cache now loads as fast as ever on my 2 GB atom slate. Modern browsers can be somewhat of RAM hogs, so if you start going nuts with the amount of tabs, etc, you will likely run into slowdowns.
