I have an alienware laptop running Windows7
When I got the system I installed an SSD, and reinstalled win7 on the SSD
I made a stupid mistake, I set the default boot os as the wrong win7
I for some reason was dual booting two win7 os's one which wasnt on the ssd, and was broken, i set to default, I have no time to choose the other os to boot from, I removed the timer. Someone gimmie some commands I can run to fix this, im googling as we speak. -_-
Edit: I have access to command prompt.

    Hi,
Not sure I understand your sitch.
-You have an SSD and Harddrive, both with win7.
-You are currently booting off the harddrive, but there's a problem.

Can you go into the bios and change the boot disk to the SSD?

    - Yes, the SSD has a working windows, the drive set to boot from by default doesn't.
    - Yes

I can't set to boot from the SSD, no, its not an option under boot in the bios, i've also tried disabling the HDD but it still boots this bad win7 OS. Its not booting the one that works. I set the wrong one

Edit: Check this picture I took out, ignore that reflection from my tv. http://i54.tinypic.com/6r4k0k.jpg

    Hi,
I'm looking at that pic you took and it doesn't really look like the BIOS to me.

Okay, I found the manual to your M17xR2
    http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/Alw_M17xR2/en/index.html

check out chapter 26:BIOS page 0113
    http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/Alw_M17xR2/en/SM/sm_en.pdf

    First Enter BIOS
The BIOS Setup Utility window displays current or changeable configuration
information for your laptop. Information is divided into five menus: Main,
    Advanced, Security, Boot, and Exit.

Go to the Boot menu and choose the drive you want to boot off of. It might be set to boot off your harddrive, though I'm not certain if that's the case from the info you've given.

    Also in the Advanced menu
I think you should set both SATA drives to AHCI if they aren't already. The SSD should be set to AHCI, I think, I'm not actually 100% sure. My thinkpad has an intel SSD, and I set it to AHCI mode.

Its already booting from the SSD, I set WINDOWS on the SSD to boot the bad win7. I was on my working win7 and set the default boot to the wrong windows7.

It IS booting the SSD, BUT I disabled the ability to choose which os to boot at startup, in windows.
I need a way to use CMD to change the boot to the other OS, so I can change it back in windows.
