Does anybody here have BT working well on a 64-but Win7 machine? I have been trying a number of different versions of the WidComm stack for my Dell M6400, and the results are not good... Essentially, I have one device, an old Microsoft Bluetooth Explorer mouse that I can get to connect. Everything else I tried (2 different Logitech mice, and my iPhone) either don't connect at all, or remain in some twilight state where Windows says the device is connected, but it cannot determine the capabilities of the device at all, and thus installs no driver for it (meaning, the device is shown as connected, but it doesn't work).
Overall, the behavior of Bluetooth on my machine seems erratic, even for the Microsoft mouse. For example, sometimes, I can get one of the Logitech mice to connect and work fine, but that is rare. Even if it works, the mouse may disconnect at some random time, and when that heppens there is no way to reconnect it again. To sum it up, at least on my M6400, Bluetooth seems to be unusable.
Is this just a problem with my machine? Any advice, pointers? Thanks!

I have problems with my iPhone. I have to end up using the usb cable for win7 to recognize it. The BT mouse works well, though.

I have BT working fine on 7 x64 and it can detect my iPhone, however my iPhone takes years to detect anything.

I use a bluetooth mouse and a bluetooth headset on my x64 laptop, no problems.

Thanks, guys, for the feedback. So it seems there is something wrong with either my hard- or software. Now I just need to find out which one, and what...

Widcomm drivers are troublesome. I have one of those generic bluetooth radios and i use the default microsoft bluetooth stack. It connects really fast and offer amazing reliability for my phone and wiimote.

I have a terrible problem with bluetooth on Windows 7 64-bit. It is completely disabled. Even the hotkeys (Fn + F6) to enable it don't work.

It's working fine on my laptop as well... have you made sure it's not disabled within the device manager?

I just discovered that the module is missing but my laptop (a Packard Bell Easynote TJ65-DT-120 IT) is already arranged. Can you advice a good BT module? Thank you very much...
