I was curious what's a good, high quality converter that'll take my tv shows/movies i have on DVD and rip them into files that'll go onto my Zune? It's 320x240 resolution I believe. Nothing hopelessly complicated would be preferred. Had tried 1 software before but it took like 6-8 hours per dvd to rip/convert. Also if there are any good free ones that'd be appreciated cuz usually cautious bout paying $ for online software which may end up not doing what i want etc.

it's a little complicated, but you can use VLC media player to rip movies.

I've had great results from the Xilisoft line of rippers/converters:

    http://www.xilisoft.com/index.html

There are a bunch of different ones depending on what devices you're ripping to. Or there are suites encompassing multiple formats. You'll just have to look at them and figure out which best fits your needs.

Thay aren't free, but you can try them before buying.

When I had my 30GB Zune I used SUPERĀ© most of the time.

Great thing about Zune is that it's not extremely picky about formats & resolutions like other players.
