    Other than MPC and VLC, what kinds of alternatives are people using for 1080p quicktime file playback?

    Ideally looking for something light with vsync functions to reduce screen tear.

    check KLM mega codec pack , i am not sure of exactly what extension you need to play , but its lite pack and it's player nearly plays all the format + its free
