I like PHP Designer link. I like because it does HTML/XHTML, PHP, CSS, XML, SQL, Perl, JavaScript, Visual Basic, C#, Java.

I also use NVU Link. If just working HTML I prefer NVU as simpler user interface.

I like a program called EditPadPro.

    http://www.editpadpro.com/

Very basic. Which I like :)

It has an unrestricted and everlasting "free trial". So basically it is free, but asks for donations. Sort of.

I like Kompozer. WYSIWYG, small, and no need to install.

As a programmer, I HATE WYSIQYG tools. They create crap code (Dreamweaver especially) that is much larger than it needs to be and isn't terribly portable. If you want to do more than put up a simple page for your Church, do yourself a favor and learn HTML and/or PHP or some other dynamic language.

I agree, that being said, KompoZer has an HTML editor too, it's not just WYSIWYG.

For just plain text editing (none of that WYSIWYG stuff), I use Notepad++.

If you haven't already, for the sake of the internet, learn how to use CSS instead of tables for web layouts.
