The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Best Windows IRC Client

    As the title says, what do you feel is the best IRC client for the casual user (i.e. not necessary a fserver). I'm getting real tired of plain ol' mIRC.

    Small memory footprint, good set of features, nice interface, and support all irc commands and scripts and whatnot are important.

    Unfortunately, I don't really know of many clients besides mIRC, so I couldn't set up a poll.

    Windows? Only other one I've seen in common usage is X-Chat ( http://www.silverex.org) I'll set up a poll for you ;)

    I use sysreset, but I don't use anything else on there, there are tons of addons, but meh. I don't fserve as well :p
