I have a ton of word documents (.doc) that I need to convert to .pdf for a website. Is there any freeware software that will allow me to batch convert them? I've used a couple print pdf's through a driver things, but they only allow me to do 1 at a time, or have to hit print on every single thing if I try to batch it. I would like one where I could just import them all and select a folder for output and let it work it's magic.

Edit: The title should be Batch PDF Converter (I don't know what I was thinking when I put in the title) :)

batch conversions like that, done quickly and reliably, are usually payware features.

The good news is that payware like that usually runs less than $50-. Places like softpedia and file forums list lots of options.

This one seems promising. I've never used it, as I only use doPDF so I can print them to PDF.

Use a trial version of Adobe Acrobat? That should work.

On that note - the Word "Save to pdf feature" is dodgy - the Pdfs are larger than the ones from the Acrobat Add-In an the Word ones loose the font type on my Sony eReader + formulas break (new formula editor - old ones break with the Acrobat Add-In too)

I like CutePDF printer myself. It's pretty straightforward, and it works well.

Oh, I forgot to metion this, but what you can do with doPDF is select all the documents you want to print, and then print them to PDF, but that would print them all into one file.

Thanks for all the replies, I ended up just using PDF995 ( One I had used before) and created a repeating macro script that worked well. I'll look into some of the suggestions for future use.

On all other computers without my Acrobat Pro, I use http://www.cutepdf.com/ without issue. Just refuse the toolbar.

People should be careful which PDF 'printer' they choose.

Only a few of them are completely self-contained. Quite a few though depend on an external installation of Ghostscript.

A little reading of the installation notes will let you know which is which.
