I know. Why keep using Windows Defender. It's free, is a pain to remove, and is baked into the OS.

I noticed a pop-up on my L5 that a threat had been found. Looking at the details, Windows Defender was having conniptions with Benchmate. I hadn't used the application in awhile. It might have been do to an older version. I cleared the quarantine and updated Benchmate. Not sure if anyone else has had this problem. But I wanted to share.

Antivirus software that makes rash decisions on the fly based on the behavior of software (heuristics) is often flagging legitimate programs. I have also seen other completely legitimate and safe things like ThrottleStop erroneously identified as malware.

I wonder if they fixed the bug with Benchmade telling wPrime it has more threads than the CPU has, which lowers the score?

Probably not. Because it doesn't affect all HW and from what I have seen it show also different amount threads depending on OS version :D

Maybe we also should put some of the blame on Micro$lope for make it a mess? Yeah, I think we say so

I never have believed that we evolved from monkeys, because that's just stupid. But it certainly seems like we are de-evolving into monkeys based on the way things are going in the PC tech world.
