Is there a way i can read through the crash dump that BSOD creates? twice now my computer has randomly crashed while doing just web surfing. but the BSOD happens so fast, its like a flicker and my computer restarts so idk what's causing it.

    help?

so i found the memory.dmp, and changed the permissions so i can open it, but its like 615 MB and none of the programs will open it (word, notepad, wordpad). any other suggestions?

Whenever I get a BSOD, it stays on the DUMP screen until i manually turn off my computer. Maybe there's a setting that changed that.

    Thanks, that's awesome.
yep all three crashes have been caused by the same driver:
    dxgmms1.sys

which is a directx driver it appears...

not sure what to do about it? it seems i'm not the only person to have BSOD's from this, there are several threads on the net about it. i guess it doesn't matter that much, it doesn't happen often.

Just use a "WhoCrashed" program which is free and it'll scan your BSODs and give you some info.
