I've been getting this on my Sager laptop while playing COD Modern Warfare occasionally. What I've read is that it has something to do with keyboard drivers and/or compatibility. However, I do not have an external keyboard, only an external Razr mouse. I read somewhere to check the Device Manager and update drivers, but when I do that I see 3 keyboards listed:

    1. HID Keyboard Device - on USB Input Device
    2. HID Keyboard Device - on Razer Basilisk X HyperSpeed (this Razr is actually my mouse, so do not know why it registers as a keyboard)
    3. Standard PS/2 Keyboard - plugged into keyboard port

I tried to remove #2 the Razr, since as I mentioned it isn't a keyboard, but upon restart it's back there again. I don't know what #1 is, but uninstall and it reappears when I restart.

I think maybe #3 is from a month ago or so I used my wife's bluetooth keyboard briefly, but gave it back to her and haven't used it since. She has used it but I don't have the dongle connected, so I'm not sure why it would give me an error. Needless to say I don't really want to delete/uninstall without really knowing yet. I don't want to uninstall and then not have a keyboard :) The other two seemed kind of fishy and that's why I tried them.

Thanks for helping me figure this out!

I had this BSOD issue a couple years ago, and struggled with it for many aggravating months (this bsod is notorious for mainly/only occuring while gaming   and would always happen at the absolute worst times, like at the final critical moments of an hour-long winning match ) before finding the right troubleshooting info online. In my case, it was not a keyboard, but instead the touchpad--the culprit being Synaptics.

It could be SynTP.sys or maybe yours could be the HKKbdFltr.sys but my only solution was to completely remove the synaptics drivers. Maybe a BIOS update could help you. Probably best to check with reseller if you don't feel comfortable with a DIY approach.

I ended up entirely removing all touchpad drivers before it stopped which left me unable to disable the touchpad (a whole nother aggravation while gaming, but that's another story; at any rate it's been a long time and I barely remember the details and I don't game anymore anyway)

TLDR; google more on the error code, and you should be able to figure out exactly what the problem is by matching your processes w/ task manager to the specific driver issue.
