Hey all. Recently when I have been trying to open Steam it automatically checks and installs updates, Normally this would be no problem but every time it updates I get a Blue screen with the tittle BAD_POOL_CALLER and my computer restarts. If I try it again the same thing happens and this only happens when I open Steam. I could play other games not on steam normally. All of my software is updated and I installed all windows updates.

there was a post last week on here about a lot of people including me getting a fatal error on boot up of steam. had to delete a dll blob file from the steam folder and then everything worked again as steam reloaded it.
not sure if this is the same problem as yurs though as no bsod.

might be worth asking steam support https://support.steampowered.com/

I got the same Blue screen error while downloading one of the games I play. My PC got hot and the fans went faster until I got it.

Can you please reinstall your Wifi card drivers. If possible, download the latest driver from the manufacturer directly.

How would I go about doing that? Would I just have to overwrite my current version?
