    Hello!

My problem: I have a laptop that I use both at my desk and on the road. When at my desk, I connect it to an external 2560x1600 display. I open many applications and position them to my favorite positions on the big screen, and some on the laptop's screen (I use an extended desktop, of course).

Next I prepare to leave my desk so I disconnect the external display. At this point all the windows are crammed onto laptop's screen. I don't expect any magic here, it is OK whereever the windows are placed by default.

However, when I return to my desk, and reconnect the external display, the windows move onto the big screen positioned as they were on the laptop's screen. It actually looks funny with 20-30 windows in the top-left corner of the screen. :) Now I move them manually to their desired positions.

The software I am looking for should be able to remember the window position on my external display, and when the external display is reconnected, it should move them back to the remembered positions. Does anyone know of a program that can do this?

It would also be nice if the software could rearrange my desktop icons based on the connected display. Ideally, I would have two sets of icon positions, and the software would switch between them whenever the external display is connected and disconnected.
