ok first off what drivers from asus that were made for vista will work here. Aka the quick key things aren't working atm. The Direct console, and maybe a couple other things. So from those with asus laptops how well does it work with vista for you? Also how can i reduce the timer thing on the start up to say just go with windows 7 for the time being as i'm going to do a 2 week run and if nothing goes wrong then i'mma stick with 7 and say bye bye vista XD

Edit: Also is it normal to have almost the same exact score in 7s WEI b/c i got a subscore of 5.7 but everything else was the same. Only the CPU went up from 5.1 everything else is till 5.9/5.8 D: why is it that low x.x i thought i had a good pc :<

Edit2: Where's my quick launch @.@ i want my show desktop minimize all windows etc options where are they?! i used teh show desktop one nonstop in XP/Vista and every os i've ever used i want it x.x

Bottom right hand corner. Right next to the clock there is a greyed section of the taskbar. Click it. or hover over it for a few seconds. Quicklaunch has been replaced with a dock type thingy where you can pin your most frequently used programs to it.

I installed vista drivers. They work, but suck. Fps drops a lot.

Install 181.71. If you can't get it through Windows, I'll upload it for you.

OK i got my gpu driver. But i don't have any hotkeys at all. I tried using the Vista Drivers for my hotkeys but no luck so atm i'm using it w/o an hotkeys which is very annoying.

How did you install them? From what I've seen Asus' installer have a bad habit of not detecting W7 as a compatible OS (same applies to Vista SP2 -_-). Try installing though the hotkey's installer (like, navigate through the farthest folder) or through windows' devices' manager.

That's a bit of a surprise. I've had Win7 on my X-5, and though it has a nasty habit of freaking out at the Vista drivers, the install was relatively clean after the GPU driver was identified. Hotkeys worked fine. This is a clean install, yes?
