Most computer manufacterers put on a copy of MS windows on systems and sell it to us. There isnt any option for deselecting the OS. We pay the "microsoft tax". We may already have bought a legal copy of MS windows, yet we pay again when we buy a new computer.
Now when you buy the computer, on first boot up there is the EULA. Anyone reject it and try to get a refund for the computer from the manufacturer (for MS windows)?

I tried with dell but they told me my copy of windows pro came "free" with the laptop.
    Yeah right

Just make sure you don't activate the copy, and then you should be able to re-sell it with impunity.

I don't think you are allowed to sell a Dell OEM version of Windows without the machine.
